Wiltshire 5 Minute - 2003

Peter Richmond as last year, scored 6½/7 win the Wiltshire

Five Minute Championship. Johnathan Bourne and Joel Bird

shared second place on 5 with Lewis Martin winning the

U-125 prize on 4½. Eighteen players participated in the

event at the Brown Jack. Other scores: Tim Headlong 4½,

Mark Jones, Daniel Hall and Joshua Hall 4, Gary Tanner

3½, Adrian Champion, Robbie Dams, Matthew Hodges

and Toby Hall 3, Frank Prashad & Andy Hicks 2½, Dave

Brown & Michael Verannes 2 and Steve Davis 1.

The top seeds all got off to slow starts. Mark lost to Lewis

in the first round and later to Dan & Robbie. Tim lost to

Dan in round two and Josh in round four. Johnathan and

Joel went down to Gary in rounds two and three

respectively. Peter efficiently ended Gary's run in round

four but was fortunate to beat Joel in round five.
